Jim Rauschenbach, PhD
Jim Rauschenbach has spent his life teaching and training others to teach PreK through 12 Physical Education. He started his career in 1981 at St. Albert The Great in North Royalton. After teaching for nine years, Jim Rauschenbach taught and did his graduate work in Physical Education Teacher Education at Western Kentucky University and The Ohio State University.
Dr. Rauschenbach’s areas of interests are in:

- Teaching Games For Understanding
- Adventure Education and Team Building
- Curriculum Development
- Ideation and Homemade Physical Education Equipment.
He has trained physical educators and developed preparation programs at some of the top programs in the country including The Ohio State University, The University of South Florida, and Southern Connecticut State University.
Always endeavoring to collaborate with his students, Dr. Rauschenbach has presented over 150 times at State, Regional and National conventions. He has authored over 2 dozen journal articles focused on best practices, youth fitness, and unique curricular offerings and he has served on countless committees at the local and state level helping school districts with curriculum development and teacher training.
Dr. Rauschenbach was selected to write the Chinese National Curriculum for K-8 Physical Education (KDL Curriculum) and has taught graduate coursework at Eastern China Normal University in Shanghai, China. Over the course of several trip’s Dr. Rauschenbach also conducted workshops for thousands of Chinese Physical Educators throughout the eastern half of the country.
For the past 15 years, Dr. Rauschenbach has consulted with non-profits and school districts to write and oversee an in-school youth fitness curriculum for over 200,00 K through 8th graders in the Florida panhandle.
